I purchased a Hp Pavilion 15-e052se laptop. It came with windows8.
1. Would like to know that can i install windows 7 in the laptop. If yes, then please advise it would be 32 bit ot 64 bit?
2. If we want to download windows 8 & other drivers for this model. From where i can download as on Hp website i can't see any driver download for this model.

Recently i reinstalled windows 8.1 on probook 4540s (Serial: 2CE240267G, Product: C4Y85EA#BED). And i have two missing "system base device" drivers:

how do I stop my laptop shutting down when I am say, doing a full security scan, or downloading which can take an hour or so
at the moment my lap top auto shuts down after 15-20 min ,which means I have to sit in front of it to reliven it by using the touch pad every so often

I had a troouble with the screen and had it replaced to LED, and after that, it came into my notice that whenever I startup my system, the dialog box showing HP Ceement not working pops up. Also, there are options with check online for troubleshooting, but it did not work out when I tried it.
The another thing related with the issue (my guess only) is that, the original windows 7 home basic installed on the system is failing to get updated. the updates are identified and downloading also occurs. But, while installing, it always shows installation failed. This also seems to match approximately with the date in which I changed the display. So, is there any connection between the service done, and these two issues? and is there any way for me to rectify this?
I also should inform you guys, there is absolutely no other issue with the pc.

Hi - I realized that I have an old BIOS on my laptop, and noticed that HP has a UEFI dated 2013-02-13 - Version 5.1.1.0 . The file is located here : http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp60501-61000/sp60844.exe
Upon installing, all it did was create a new partition on my hard drive called HP_TOOLS in which there are 3 different directories. There are binary files in some of them which I presume is the BIOS/UEFI data. However none of them are executable and there is no readme file that I can view to get instructions. Does anyone know how to perform this update?
Also - is UEFI and BIOS the same thing? I noticed that the support page for my laptop has multiple BIOS/UEFI versions - two are called BIOS, another one says UEFI (the newest one, which I referred to above) and yet another one has both UEFI *and* BIOS in the name...
My windows got corrupted, so I had to reinstall it, and I was trying to grab the drivers from the support page
However, once I select the operating system, it gives the loading symbol and never moves forward. I've waited a half hour to no effect. I tried looking up other laptops and their driver pages loaded immediately, so I don't believe it's on my end. Is there a problem with the page?

I need to install Windows 7 in UEFI mode using USB flash drive and for this purpose:
- created Windows 7 UEFI bootable USB using Rufus application
- In BIOS choosed UEFI Hybrid boot option with CSM
- disabled switchable graphics
- disabled fast boot
- secure boot is disabled
When I reboot and choose to boot from the USB using F9 boot menu, the computer continues to load my current system from my HDD and not the UEFI from the USB.
(I used the same USB and Windows 7 and succesfully installed windows in UEFI mode on my desktop machine but the laptop doesn`t want to recognize the USB as a bootable.)
I tried to put the USB on different slots but that doesn`t help.
Tried to boot from the UEFI USB drive in Legacy boot mode in BIOS, but no result.
My sistem is as follows:

I have no sound at all on my pc , either with my headphones or with the basic sound of the pc . I can not access the volume mixer. I have verified that my drivers are up to date . In recording device there is nothing, no audio device is installed![]()

I know it should be simple, but I watched a dozen uT videos on how to switch between open programs on Windows 8.1 - they all seem to have conflicting answers - and none of those answers work on my HP 11 Stream notebook.
also - if I can ask two questions at once - what is the best way to quit / close a running program? (not just exit it, but to stop it from running.)

The drivers given in HP site not works mainly for "USB Controller" and "Bluetooth".
For the past 3 weeks (from then i bought this laptop) i'm in search for both these drivers but could not find them.
I need it very badly.
Can anyone please share the above two drivers?

Clean install, everything is latest from HP website, running 8.1, Client Security passwords work fine with Explorer but Chorme extension is seems broken
I had to reinstall windows 8.1 from the thumb drive I bought with the laptop.
Now it keeps asking me to activate windows 8.1.
I try to activate over the internet but it doesn't work .. help?
