I am using a brand new, out of the box, HP laptop, I only use Firefox browser. My HP Simplepass works very inconsistently, I have not noticed any patterns. I shut down the brower and reopen, and restart my computer but the problem keeps coming back. If I use the quick launch and select the website I want, it takes me to the website but leaves the sign in info blank. This is very frustrating!! I am running windows 8.

I got myself P 14-d037tu Notebook PC and with the horror of windows 8, i decided to downgrade to windows 7. At first i check HP driver section and im glad it has all the driver for win 7. However when installed win 7, all the driver i download can't be used.
so i start to find one by one, read thread by thread at hp for solution. sadly, there's only 3 driver i have problem with as at now.

I recently reinstalled Windows 7 on my Pavilion dv6 notebook, and I'm having lots of troubles with reinstalling some of the drivers, mainly the Bluetooth adapter. I tried using the program from this link, but it said it couldn't update the driver for my device, and the BCM20702A0 device is the only thing without a driver. Can someone give me a working driver for this?

I a trying to install 8.1 on my G7 64 bit. It is not showing up in the WIndows Store, and one of the potential reasons MS gave is that it may not be available for my system.

I just downgraded my HP2000 to Windows 7 and need to find the drivers. Unfortunately, the HP website is no good. I need ethernet, video, WiFi, etc.
HP site does not have the drivers I need.

I've got an old one a mediacenter 5215 - but it worked (even if slow) - I put a big program on a few days ago but it seemed to be fine; today I start it up and it seemed to work - then froze; now if I restart it does get to the desktop, but then seems to go into an endless hourglass and won't let me do anything, not shut down, not select a thing - just frozen; I've turned it off and on a few times and same thing happens even if I hit f8 and go to last know good configuration - the computer worked fine up to now - not as fast as the newer ones, but it still works (XP) - any help in getting it to work again is VERY much appreciated.

Hi all my HP support assistant wont open. When i click on it it opens then freezes and an a message pops up saying 'this application has encountered a serious proble and must close. click OK to automatically restart this application.' but when i click OK same thing keeps happening. I have recently updated to windows 8.1. Should there be other programs i should look out for that may not be working. laptop used mostly for internet and streaming moives.

G62-144DX, Win7 Home premium 64, New HDD, I used cyberlink utilities download, ran in laptop, recieved green checkmark, inserted recovery discs(created at bigbox), restarted, boot using F9, same result(0xe0ef000e). What does this code mean. Tried Win7 from Digital River,won't load, it will on desktop, also used Win Install tool from MS inc. Now the code is Boot Manager Missing, ctrl alt delete. Used Killdisk, now hdd is clean, what steps now? I would rather have HP factory reset.
I'm working with a Pavilion tx2000. It's an old machine that was abandoned for a few years, but there isn't much wrong with it and I'm trying to get it back up to speed. It's got Windows Vista which I'm not terribly attached to and I've heard others say its not very good for the system. Is there anyway to upgrade, (or even downgrade if a lesser version of Windows is preferrable to Vista)? I wouldn't mind the downgrade, especially if that makes it possible to do it for free. If so, let it be known that I don't know much about computers, is this something that someone like me could figure out or is it a more advanced process?

try to restore , troubleshoot, reset PC
... Unable to reset you PC. A required drive partition is missing.
I was able to backup my key files, so now I think I need to blow away the drive and reload factory windows ... how do I proceed?
HP Support Assistant is taking windows 8.1 down when updating from icon with red exclamation stating important action needed. I end up reloadng widows software before I can log in.
