My CD/DVD (hp CDDVDW TS-L633R SATA CdRom) drive is not working. Windows 7 diagnostics are telling me that my driver is corrupt and to reload. Can someone please tell me where to download this driver from the HP website.

After a few failed attempts, it gives me this message, and I can't do anything except for powering it off, and turning it back on.

What do I do?
Is this trash? Do I bring it in to a computer tech?
I have no idea what to do, I'm screwed and ALL of my company database and backup website sourcecode is on this laptop.

Managing hp hotkeys
Hi!
I have managed to use hotkeys without the need to press the "fn" key along with it. Now my problem is every time i press the escape "esc" button, "HP System Information" shows up. Is there a way to stop that? I just want my "esc" button do its job, not bringing up the aforementioned dialogue box.

pavilion 15-n233sl touchpad and keyboard driver
Goodmorning,
I'm new on the forum.
I have read all the post already present on the related to my issue but none of them is for pavilion 15-n233sl.
I have installed windos 7 64 bit. More or less the majority of the drivers are now ok a part the touchpad.
Based on my understanding, is possible that if a driver for a specific laptop is not available or doesn't work we can use the driver of another one which can be considered compatible.
Please find below the details of my laptop:
Notebook HP Pavilion 15-n233sl (ENERGY STAR)

I have tried to install several drivers for touchpad:
- Synaptics TouchPad Driver - sp63975
- Synaptics TouchPad Driver - sp64342
- Synaptics TouchPad Driver - sp64969
no one of this worked.
Could you please give me an hand to solve this issue?
I have also another problem with the keybord.
Basically it work only if, post startup of the OS, I push the on-off button activating the stand-by.
When I reactivate the laptop pushing again the on-off button the laptop restart and the keybord start working.
The best option would be to have it working since the startup.
I hope you can help me with my issues.

Where are the older BIOS versions gone?

A few weeks back, I've upgraded the BIOS on my Pavilion G6 1001sq to the latest version (F66). I noticed that the laptop is running considearbly hotter since then and I want to revert to an older BIOS version. When I go to the updates page on the HP website and click on "older versions available" I can only see the F66 version on the page I'm directed to ( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/previousVersions?softwareitem=ob-115746-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&productOid=5072317&sw_lang= ), although a long list with many versions was available till recently. Where are the older versions gone?

How and what does this mean please , and do i need to worry . This is my 5th HP notebook 15 that has had a random beep , i have read of another chap whom is on his second notebook with the same problem , so im concerned its because of this failed update , surely 7x HP NOTEBOOKS from two people have faulty units , can we ? , any help would be appreciated thanks gerry

I have been trying to download the drivers for my laptop (Dv7-6175us) for about 2 months now. I can not get the website to display the available drivers(http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-dv7-6100-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-series/5082216/model/5128860/drivers?cc=us&lang=en). It just continues to load. I have used my PC, Laptop, a macbook, Google chrome, firefox, safari, and two different networks. I am having the same issue on everything. I have emailed and tried to call HP support with no response.

HELP!!! Boot Device Missing!! Hard Disk Error!!!
I turned on my laptop and it said "Boot Device Missing" (it said Hard Disk Error sometimes) so I went in to the systen diagnostics and did a memory test (which I passed) and Hard Drive Check. I heard that if you pass the hard drive check you can fix this problem, but it said SMART Check and Short/Long DST was not available. I also went to the bios and I changed the settings to defaults (F9) and saved and exit (F10), tried shutting the laptop down, removing all the CD, USB, everything, and turned it back on, but those didn't fix the computer. I also watched some videos on Youtube that you can unscrew the bottom part and check the hard drive but I couldn't find where to unscrew and look for the hard drive. Is there any way that I can fix this without sending it to repair because I need to use this laptop everyday.

No Bluethooth
So I decided to start looking around my PC and what it can do compaired to my old Windows Vista. And one thing that I found that seemed weird was that my old Vista had Bluetooth Settings and Support (BTW which is also and HP product) but this laptop does not. I looked it up online and it said to go to my charms bar and go to -Settings the Change PC settings. I did. Then it said click PC and Devices and go to the bluetooth setting. But when i tried this there was none. Am i missing drivers or is my computer just not able to connect to the internet? Thanks For the help.

ive had to do a complete re-install but now with my win7-pro(64bit) but modem has no driver. Its like the chicken-&-the -egg scenaio where i cant get anything setup unless i connect and vice-versa. Could you send me the modem drivers please?
