Since updating to windows 10 i am unable to use the search bar for programs, meaning unless i go into file explorer and do a search through there which tends to be unsuccessful i am unable to open most of my programs, i also have found that i can not select an internet access once logged into my laptop, i have to connect to the internet before i log in, at the login screen. i have found many other problems also but am wondering how to fix the multitude of problems. thankyou

Oh, need simplicity.
Each time I try to create an HP recovery media on a flash drive the creation program crashs. How can this be fixed?
My laptop model 15t-j100 quad core does not boot up to windows after multiple attempts. When I power on my laptop it moves to automatic repair and then goes to diagonistic. After which it shows option to restart or addtional recovery options.
I have tried all of the recovery options:
1) Recovery from last backup.
2) Reset computer my removing all app keeping personal data.
3) Reset computer my removing all data.
Nothing worked. All the recovery process runs till about 50-60% completion and then pops us error message.
I really looking for some quick help.

I upgraded my TM2T to Windows 10 and I love it. About a month or 2 ago I had to reset my PC and Windows 10 deleted my touchsmart software (Which was working fine before the reset) I have been looking high and low for the place to download. I looked up my computer on the support site and it isn't listed under my laptop just bump top.

I was thinking about booting from a Windows 10 USB but, is there any other way?
I unplug the AC adapter from the socket and lost everything, all recods files, programs photos.
It showed an error sign and did not want to turn off. I connected
it again and the computer started to recover but , I could not recover any files.
My question is how can I recover all the information and programs? Is it possible?
I can see that the programs are still in but I can not access them because I do not have the password. The programs came with the computer.

my HDD has crashed and I would like to recover the system. I was able to rescue recovery partition from the disc intact. There were some also command to restore the HDD to the state in which it was initially - I suppose. I've managed to run the commands manually (the command sequence began with convert GPT so the HDD was set to GPT) on a new HDD and copy recovery partition to the proper place. However I don't know what should I do to start the recovery process. The problem is probably with the fact the HDD is not bootable - on normal MBR HDD I would try to make recovery partition active and hoped for the best but when dealing with GPT I am lost. Recovery partition contains install.wim recovery image. I have also inspected BIOS and there is an option like to fix MBR but it is greyed out for the new HDD with copies restore partition.

I was having same problem. I opened bios, deleted secure boot keys, turned on legacy boot option with dvd as first option. Restarted and presto. Ignore the part that says "for windows 7 and older". Im installing windows 8 as i type this. Good luck.
When I turned on my computer there is a msh that says, " Selected Boot image did not Authenticate. Press <enter> to continue". When I di it shuts itself down so I was doing some researched and notice that people who had this problem says to hit F10 and I do and then it asks me for a Adminstrator Password ?? Well I never set one up that I am aware of but entering my sign on password and that isn't it now I have a system disabled msg 55299321 ??? Please help ....

Hey, everytime my computer starts up I get "System information, press ecs to continue" I press ecs and it starts fine I have no problem. The problem starts when I need to get into BIOS. No matter what I do I cant get into bios and I think its because of the "System information, press ecs to continue". I really need to turn on my virtualation and vt -x someone please help!
