Pavilion 17-f123ds screen went black cap lock blinking slowly
While using the computer, screen went black. Was not connected to power source at the time. Tried restarting. Screen stayed black cap lock light was blinking slowly. Tried to hard reboot and no change. Nothing has been recently installed. System did auto update a few days ago.

hello. I have been gifted a HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC after being used for some time by the person. it seemed to had the original windows of 8.1, because when I first turned it on, it asked me my name... that is all I know about the past!
since windows 8.1 and 10 waste a lot of internet traffic and its not cheap here, and i have lots of things to do in the internet, then i wanted to install a windows 7. as the hard had just one main and big drive, i have read some articles and added an other partition by using the software "EASEUS Partition Master". then tried to install windows 7 by using USB. the windows seemed to finish the installation but didnt start working! it is just in the step of "windows is starting". i have tried to format that partition and installed again. failed again! so i had to format all the hard and all those 5-6 total partitions (just 2 were big) including a partion called something like "recovery", which i have tried to copy it in an external hard but in the 99% it failed! and it wasnt important for me to loose it. becuase i didnt need 8.1 and i thought (and think) it cant be useful for 7.
anyway, i formatted all the partitions for repartitioning. again installation of windows 7 failed. but this time i have also got this message right after booting: "selected boot image did not authenticate. press Enter to continue". when i pressed enter, it turned off. i read some articles and disabled the "secure boot". but still i cant install windows7. i have tried 2 different windows 7s by both DVD and USB which both 2 are working in my previous computers but here, no! to see if there is a problem in installing windows in it, i have tried a windows 10 and it seems to work properly. but it was just a test. i would preffer to have a 7. does it mean it cant have a 7 at all? what should i do if it is possible to install a 7?

Graphics Card Periodically Crashes Computer
Hi. i'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question. I have an HP EliteBook 6930p running Windows 7. Computer works fine, except recently the machine periodically freezes on certain graphic apps, such as watching videos. I get error messages that the display adapter restarted. I try rebooting the and the computer won't restart into windows. If I'm able to view the initial startup screen, I can press ESC and go into system setup menu and then reset bios settings and password. Then I can boot back into the computer. All updates/patches have been applied to the computer/OS.
Often, the screen will be blank while starting. I used a DOS memtest tool on CD which runs and tests computer RAM. I've done complete tests on the RAM and everything is ok. I use to run on the computer for about 15 minutes and then I can reboot into system setup menu. I normally run the memtest after resetting the BIOS with Windows-B and press power button for 3 seconds.
I'm not sure where the problem on the laptop is. I've opened the computer, cleared the dust from it. Everything looks ok in it. The fan seems to work ok. I have a laptop stand with a fan below it blowing on the computer. Not sure where problem may be. The freezing occurs on graphics intensive apps (like watching videos).
Any help would be appreciated.

i was playing music with my laptop while i was dping laundry in the other room. I can hear the music until it became static and crashed my laptop.
Now everytime i boot it up, it goes directly to BSOD with different stop codes.

Everytime the First code shows up, the next thing is that it will do an automatic repair, but the repair wont start and instead its gonna be anpther BSOD ( With one of the codes mentioned above). And some time later, it will crash and wont load anymore.
What should i do? Is there anyway i can repair this on my own
And if youre wondering: i accessed once my laptop for a minute once before the BSOD loop happened. I checked everything and tried to fix it with the solutions available online but it didnt happened. The files are still there, its working properly before it crashed,
I did an extensive diagnostic test but everything passed. I want to open safe mode but i cant access the safe mode
What should i do?

Change system language - Windows 10
Hi!
I've bought my HP EliteBook 745 G5 yesterday in China (where I'm currently working). The problem is that the Windows 10 is fully in Chinese and I don't speak Chinese. I cannot acess or change anything, all the menus and pop-up windows are in Chinese, as well as the MS Office 2016. I tried to change the system language via control panel, but unsuccessfully.
Can I somehow change the language to English? Can I just install fresh Windows 10 ISO (English version) and activate with my Windows key bounded to my new laptop?

error code 0X80070002 PC doesn't install new updates of the programs
I had bought a lap top HP15-bs122nl but I had given back to the HPstore because there was a problem with the video blurring both for DVD videos reproductions and for internet video. The HP store has just given me back a new one but there is still the same problem. I saw in settings and home area that there are updates of programs but it is impossible for the PC to install them after the download. The system give me back the description of this error code error code 0X80070002. I spent several days trying to have the final and right PC. Now I'm thinking to have back my money. I had purchased a calculator [amazon, UK an online e-retailer] which allows me to key in financial calculations similar to those I can try to work out with spreadsheet solutions.
I do get a conjecture of answers there is a common concern that the mathematical calculations need more standardization this was confirmed when talking to other technicians as well.
I do not wish to re-program its electronics, I am not even aware of the right programmers to use which would require a few million euros of investment to setup a proper manufacturing or servicing plant at least for now I wish to find common answers to financial questions I have as I cook the books and try to outsmart the team of arrogant accountants who think they are more competent than I am because they have studied a book by heart and obtained a post-graduate qualification in some topic, so they feel on top of the world for a few days after they have celebrated their award, motivating I would say.
The batteries it takes are small I would have appreciated if the manufacturer had thought of a solar power input, this is common place amongst cheaper forms of calculators, since we live in an island where the sun has a natural source of light and energy, so this helps us save the environment from batteries as well.
A mathematical verification algorithm would be interesting, since even though calculations such as net present value are openly documented in textbooks, there may be variances that inspire reprogramming.
I think a graph generator is interesting to see in certain mathematical verifications and whilst understanding this is not a graphing calculator maybe one can devise a separate one that includes combined functions since math is quite a difficult topic nowadays.
I think most people do not calculate many people are too lazy to think.

I can't install Windows anymore via the prepared USB-Stick.

System model Compaq Presario CQ71 Notebook PC with Windows 10 installed on it (fully Uptodate)
Since recently I can't install Windows anymore with the prepared USB-Stick. If I have set the startup sequence correctly in Bios, it will not start via this USB Drive, but will simply start up on Windows 10. It seems that the set start-up sequence is simply ignored.
Someone knows why the set start-up sequence is (seemingly) completely ignored. Even more important; someone knows how to solve this. I would like to hear about it through this Forum and I am grateful for every reaction or suggestion.

I am stuck at starting screen in windows 7, after a while it just restarts again.

I did a windows 10 update yesterday and now my system will not start up. It gets to the screen where I can enter my user password and then goes black. Sometimes it doesnt even make it to that screen. I system restored my HP Envy, it keeps going to Automatic Repair and tells me my Repair does not wk
My granddaughter got on 3D Paint and it changed to her email address as Administrator. I followed all Director’s to change it. None would work. I forgot my password to Microsoft Outlook and went through all the processes to reset password and because it’s been so long since I used that email, it wouldn’t let me in. Finally my son suggested to system restore it to an earlier update point. I used the last one. Now it won’t get past the blue screen Automatic Repair, Error, and gives you the option to shut down. I tried the F2 diagnostics and it brings you back to the Automatic Repair, then I tried the F11, and it brings you back to Automatic Repair. How can I fix this vicious cycle?
