Hello! Back on 07/14/2016 I posted in the HP Forum about a different HP Envy laptop, and between Danny (moderator) and Jeff, they were able to help me get connected to the people who facilitated the return shipping, repair. It's working great!
I bought a second HP Envy in July 2016, online from Best Buy. It was intended as a backup for the first one that got repaired. I'm a DJ so I need to make sure I have a backup if the first one fails. I loaded it with the music and lyrics pretty much right after it arrived, and put it away. Just this past week I purchased the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and so I went to put it on to this laptop. That's when I discovered that there are a number of significant problems with it:
- It won't even play the music files (?)
- It runs VERY slowly - booting up, navigating the internet, anything you do takes a long time
- I tried putting Microsoft Office 365 on it (purchased the suite at Best Buy) and it won't allow me to complete the final step
- On one of the re-boots I tried, suddenly the entire desktop changed, and a new wallpaper appeared with the 'ASUS' logo in the bottom right. As soon as I saw that, I knew something was seriously wrong - there is no way that should happen!
The last reboot I tried, I couldn't even connect to the internet.
I would like to have this laptop replaced with a new one - preferably the same kind, an HP Envy with the Beats Audio. The sound on these is great (when it works).
