Need product key
Last year I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 7 Pro with the one year free upgrade provided by microsoft at new OS (win 10) launch. My Laptop was running fine when recently its performance started to drop. I created windows 10 media for latest version available online using windows media creation tool. I formatted my laptop and re-install windows 10 with the media. After installation I observed that the Windows newly installed is Windows 10 Home edition and not Pro edition. To convert back to my Pro edition , the OS is asking the product key of windows. It says, it can accept the product key of windows which came preinstalled with the laptop.
Please help me as how I can get the product key of the OS (Windows 8) which came installed with my Laptop as now i have formatted my C drive.

configure bios compaq 6730b
My notebook has been 'blue screened' by the latest Windows 10 update. I can't believe Microsoft has broken my perfectly working laptop...I have been told I need to 'configure the bios' whatever that means, as when I turn my computer on it won't read the recovery file on my USB. Does anyone understand any of this? Thank you for any help.

BLINKING POWER BUTTON , SCREEN WONT TURN ON
My laptop will not charge and it will not turn on . Heres the best way to describe it...
When i plug my charger into my computer the red light blinks as well as the power button. It stays on for 3 seconds then blinks and repeats this act.
I have tried holding the power button down for 15 seconds to do a hard restart and nothing happens. My screen remains black and the power button remains blinking.
Ive tried using google remedies but none of the research has helped. My lap top is in immaculate condition, i only use it for school or work so im very confused to why my screen wont turn on. it was up and running fine two weeks ago and every since ive been trying to get it to cut on and it wont budge.

Can I update my old 2008 bios on hp 8510w to something more current (2016 bios)
My computer keeps failing a diagnostic check because the system date is 2008. I researched it (I'm a novice at computers) and it seems my BIOS is old.
Can I update it to something more recent, or will that kill my computer?
Also, when I go to HP's site for my computer model to update the drivers, it doesn't list the Microsoft Operating System for 8.1 (my current software). I only get older versions... is this an issue? When I bought the computer it was running Vista x64 bit.
If I can't select the correct version of my OS, how can I get the most relevant drivers?

Battery off, can't turn it on wothout losing files
Help please!
I have borrowed this laptop from my college's library and it is set uups that it deletes everything every time it turns down.
When it runs out of battery, the screen turns black but the power, sound and wifi buttons are still lit. It seems like it does that in order to give you time before it totally turns down. The thing is that when I plug the charger I have to totally shot it down, keeping the power button pushed during 4 seconds and then turn it on again, so if you had something in progress but not saved, it's lost
So, this time I had a lot of progress unsaved and the computer run out of battery; but I was able to plug it immediately after the screen turned black. The buttons are still lit but I can't turn it on again without shutting it down completely and losing all my stuff.
Any ideas, advice, suggestion...?

I've tried to recover my system with recovery manager. After this procedure I've got information that my instalation is not correct. Below information from my recovery manager. I bought my Envy with Windows8.1 and few month ago I installed upgrade to Windows10.

Windows 10 Update
Hi,
I've recently had my laptop "repaired" by HP and it's been reset back to Windows 8.1.
The back-up I made before it was sent off was of Windows 10.
Now, after watching the little spinning icon for about 10 hours my laptop refuses to even check for any Windows updates.
I downloaded the Windows 10 upgrade tool, once that reaches 100% it just sits with this purple window open.
I'm really frustrated as my Laptop is now useless without the apps and services I need.
Please can someone help with this?

Blank blue screen/cannot reboot
Hi
I recently receaved an error on my laptop stating that it would have to restart. Unfortunately it never restarted properly and when i switch it on or off i only get a blank blue screen. If i hit the f11 key continuosly when restarting i only get same screen but small text lower left corner stating 'F11....Sytem recovery' But nothing happens other than this.
Any help and advice on this would be much appreciated, thanks!
