Hi, I have the HP Pavillion dv7 Notebook dv7-6165US running Windows 7 HomePremium 64bit.
I,ve upgraded the AMD Catalyst Control Centre to the latest version (The AM D Catalyst™ 14.4 Release Candidate Driver); all is well except that one driver is missing- (AMD SMBus Driver ver5.12.0.13), as usual. I find the latest versions of catalyst manager works far better the original (especially with overdrive) which is why I go to the trouble of installing them.
What I usually do in this case (for installing previous "Catalyst" versions) is run the AMD cleanup utility, install the AMD original version (sp54362) with custom option with only the AMD SMBus Driver ver5.12.0.13 ticked, but which will also install the manager. On installing the latest version then it will install over the previous version manager. Which is far from ideal... not being a clean install of the manager.
It works fine... but it would be better if I simply had the AMD SMBus driver to install seperately. But I cannot find it anywhere?
Any ideas?
