HI,
I have an HP 2000-2B10NR that had a defective hard disk. I've replaced the hard disk with a new one, and now need to boot from the DVD drive. I've hit F9, chosen "Internal DVD" to boot as the first device, and it still doesn't boot.
I know the DVD I'm using to boot is valid, as I've tested it on another computer. Of course it's possible the DVD drive is defective as well as the hard disk, but I doubt it. I hear it spin up when the computer boots.
Is there something I'm missing, or is there another way to get it to boot without an external USB DVD drive?
Thanks,
Dave
