Hey everybody,
After a fall on the carpet, I restarted my computer, but it refused to do it. It gave me the choice between Starting the recovery starting tool or Starting normally.
When I try to start it normally, it brings the starting screen, the Windows flag, and goes back on it everytime.
When I start the recovery starting tool, it goes on a blue screen with a window, in which it says "couldn't start because it didn't find the 2 HDD's on the computer" or something like this.
I read on the forum that this is the sign for a failed HDD ....... :(
FIrst, is it ok to replace an HDD by myself or should I make it change by a pro ? Any idea about the cost ?
Then, the most important, will I be able to take all my data back from this dead HDD ? How could I ? All my data and pictures from wedding are on it, I think I'll cry my heart out if it's over!
Thank you very much for your help !
Julie
