HP Simplepass no longer works

Opening Statement:

Hello, I've had my HP Pavilion M6 Notebook for about 7 months now (got it in December). One of my favorite things about it is that it includes a preinstalled fingerprint scanner that I can use to log in to Windows (I have Windows 7 64 bit) or to log in to the websites I frequently visit (for example: yahoo, google, reddit). The only web browser I've tried that works with it is Firefox (never tried IE because I don't like the interface). Unfortunately, I'm an idiot and I installed a beta version of Firefox 22 because I read something interesting about it on Reddit. So now I can't seem to log in to any sites with my fingerprint anymore. If possible, could someone tell me how to fix  this on Firefox or how to get my scanner to work on Chrome?

(Not entirely sure what to put here so I'll just give as much information as possible)

Device Details:

Validity Sensors (WBF) (PID=0018)

HP Simplepass Info:

BioLayer.dll - 6.0.100.257
DataManager.dll - 6.0.100.257
TokenMachine.dll - 6.0.100.257
Driver Version - 4.3.304.0

Firefox Info:

I'm not actually sure what version of Firefox I used to be running before I dowloaded the beta. The most recent Firefox download I had in  my folders was 17.0.1 on 12/7/12, but I'm pretty sure I had updated it more recently than that.  I tried installing Firefox 21 and I also tried using the 17.0.1 setup I had, but neither of them worked.

Other Info:

I used to have an HP Simplepass Icon on my address bar in Firefox and when I was on a website where I could use my fingerprint to log in I would be prompted with a pop up bar under my bookmark toolbar asking if I wanted to use my fingerprint to sign in and which account I wanted to use.

Closing Statement:

I'm certain this problem has been solved before and I hate to ask, but I couldn't figure out how to fix it myself or by Googling it. If this isn't where I should ask about this, please forgive me and redirect me to where I should ask.

Slightly Off Topic:

I was also kind of wondering if I could use my scanner to log in to games that I own (like League of Legends). I don't think I can do it with HP Simplepass though.
