I have a HP Pavilion, Windows 8, AMD 8.
I would like to be able to boot linux from a usb drive. I went into bios enable legacy and changed the boot order so that the usb is first on the list in both the regular boot and legacy boot order. Seems that the bios ignores the boot order because I have to hit the escape and select the F9 key and select the booting device. Why even have a boot order in the bios if at boot time it is ignored? I'm hoping there is a way to boot from a usb thumb drive without havin to hit the escape key to manually select the boot drive.
can anybody help me with this issue?
