SD Card Reader Doesn't Work on my Windows 8

Hello,

I have a HP Pavilion dv4-2165dx Entertainment Notebook.

I recently got Windows 8 for my laptop, and ever since then my SD card reader on the side doesn't work.

I pop it in and the notebook doesn't recognize it on "My Laptop", nor when I try to look for it on "Add a device".

What can I do??
