HP ProBook 6450b Win7Pro 32bit XP Mode audio is WRONG, no sound

Here goes

So, I have an HP ProBook6450b with Win7Pro 32bit.  Wanted Pro for XP mode.  Which is a riot to try to get installed in general.

The audio on the ProBook 6450b is IDT ... the audio in XP Mode is Soundblaster 16 .. what?  Yes, it's true and it means there is NO sound when using XP mode.  Trying to d/l the proper audio drivers while in XP mode does nothing.

Any clue as to why this is happening and how to fix it? Thank you.
