AC adapter causing power failure

As stated whenever I plug and on my ac adapter on power point , there would be power failure and the trip will switch. What is the problem? And is this covered under the warranty ? My warranty 3-year on site local warranty including part and labour which is still valid with the exception of battery(which is only one year)
