Hello, once again I have encountered the bane of most my laptops. At first my computer was fine, then when I restarted it it just refused and gave me a black screen with this message:

"boot device not found

Please install an operatng system on your hard disk

Hard disk (3F0)"

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE DONE:

1. restarted the computer, Pressed Esc and then F2 to run memory and hard disk tests. PASSED.

2. Downloaded a windows 8 IOS and placed it in a bootable USB to try to reinstall the operating system
.

There things got tricky. I know that I have to change the booting order to usb and accessBIOS via pressing f10, but when I do, I get the same message and don't go to bios at all.

"boot device not found

Please install an operatng system on your hard disk

Hard disk (3F0)"

I also attempted system restore with f11 and no avail... not even f9 for boot options works...

I'm guessing it's a problem with the bios?? But I am not that good with computers, so roaming the forums has done little for me. Could someone please dumb down my possible problem and if easy - medium difficulty to repair myself? Or should I go see a professional... and how much would that cost? average. (I need to know cause I'm a college student without much funds.) Basically If I would need to replace a piece, or just try and safe up for another computer... being that cheaper....
