Several Problems with HP Split x2
Hello,
A couple years ago my girlfriend and I bought the same computer, a HP Split x2. Shortly after purchasing (roughly 3 months in) we started having minor inconsistent problems. These problems started as our mouse disappearing while we would be working on our computers. The mouse would vanish for 15 to 30 minutes at a time forcing us to use the touchscreen to get from one webpage/word document to another. This problem happened on both of our computers but for some reason we did not think much of it and was hoping it would go away or that one of us had done something to cause this problem. This problem happened at least once everytime we would use our computer and is still currently affects us to varying degrees.
Next the more frustrating issue began, my computer began stuttering and being extremely slow. I had assumed this was a RAM issue or a storage problem. I tried several things ranging from only using one application at a time, stopping all none necessary apps in the background, and even checked into my storage. I had only downloaded Microsoft Office to my computer so I was not worried about a storage problem. I was worried about any possible virus however when I ran several antiviruses nothing came up. Sadly this slow stuttering got to constant that I gave up, I changed brands and bought a new computer. My girlfriend however is now experiencing this problem and she loves HP products. I want to find a solution for her so she does not have to fork out money on a new computer likely of a different brand. She is a college student who only uses her computer for word documents and surfing the web so I believe it is not a storage or RAM issue but am not sure. Any help would be appreciated!!

restoration incomplete
Hi I tried a point in time recovery, however, this failed and now it is stuck on the restoration incomplete screen and will only allow me in to the BIOS and nothing else. Any suggestions?

hard drive crashed need to find windows 7 product key
My hard drive crashed because of bad sectors on the disk. I can access the drive as a slave from my other computer. what I need to know is how do I find the windows 7 product key after the computer had been updated to windows 10. I would like to revert back to windows 7 with the new hard drive.

Bluescreen caused by graphics driver
I've been getting very frequent (daily) bluescreens for around a week now. After ~3 days I reinstalled Windows 10 (from an ISO) and installed all drivers from here.
After reinstalling Windows, the bluescreens still occur up to two times per day.
Here is the output from Bluescreenview:
the first (lowermost) one happened while installing visual studio, the rest during normal operation. Usually without much load on the GPU (and CPU for that matter) (no games, no video streams).
I read somewhere on the forum that the PCI Energy Saver Setting might cause bluescreens, I switched to medium energy saving mode as recommended and still am getting bluescreens.
Any help is appreciated

Secondhand HP Laptop, don't know the Bios password.
hi, have just bought a Pavilion 10TS of the net and the previous owner doesn't know the Bios password.
I have had a few tries using obvious passwords but no joy and have the 8 digit code from the lockout screen, 38445237,
can anyone help with the response password please. I tried the code generator but to no avail.
Here's hoping one of you guys might be able to help.

hello exports
few years back my laptop's original hardrive failed. i didnt backup my recovery partition so i didnt have any chance to to revover my pc
now i am running window 8
i found that my bios is different from that i saw in other same model laptop in internet
i dont have advance option on bios menu
i dont have option for legacy boot or uefi boot option on bios menu
buying recovery media is not possible for me because i am from nepal... and there is no direct shipment here.
i tried buy once but its very difficult and cost 5 to 6 times the cost of recovery media.... so its not best idea....
i downloaded latest bios and updated but no fruitfull result...no extra option for i have mention above
i have also tried to update bios by hp UEFI SE and Hp support diagnostic UEFI
i couldnt do with this because i dont have 3385.bin and 3385.sig file
i extracted files from latest bios and i saw 03385.fd extension file and this cannot be used in updating the bios from HP UEFI SP
now i dont know what to do
i just need bios in factory reset form so
so could you help me solve my problem

Two days ago I update bios and at the end of the install and restart the system, it has been noticed not working Wireless (presence of signal X. red on icon and wifi) with the knowledge that I have installed Windows 8.1 was the wifi enabled properly but Windows does not work with the knowledge I've definition Wireless network

HP Compaq nx6310 won't switch on... no idea how to work out a fix
I have a used HP Compaq Nx6310 laptop, it wouldn't switch on (plugged in, just showed the orange light flashing power, but nothing happened when I switched it on). Opened it up, turned out it didn't have a harddrive.... had a friend who had a working harddrive who sent it to me, put it into the laptop... but still now nothing happens. It does the orange flashing light if plugged in. Took out the battery, plugged it in (without battery) and it does the same flashing orange light. No idea if this means it's charging or just doing nothing. But it doesn't switch on at all.
Is there anything I can do to it? Or is it something just to give up on?
I'm certainly not a computer expert, so although I might get lucky and know what something means... assume you're talking to an idiot if describing anything 
I wish I knew more, but my head does not compute much.... I understand some things, but don't have the foggiest how to solve them. Assumed putting a new H/D in would mean it worked... but it didn't. Am baffled....
