Hi all!

 

I'm so frustrated! I purchased my HP Pavilion 15t-ab200 Notebook on Amazon 5 months ago and gave it a 5 star review.  Earlier today my laptop got extremely hot on the bottom while using it on my lap.  It is a laptop after all.  

 

I was commenting to my daughter that it felt like it was burning my legs.  She suggested I turn it off and let it cool down, which I did.  When I tried to turn it back on, the power button lit up and a light on the caps key was blinking, but never turned on.  

 

I've done a hard reset (more than once) by removing the battery, unplugging the power cord, holding the power button down for 30 seconds to drain any residual power, then replacing battery and plugging it in and now NOTHING happens.  No lights.  No sound.  No screen.  No LED.  I've help the power button down for a long time but nothing at all happens.  Dead.  

 

I called the HP 24/7 support line and reached a message that the 24/7 support is closed.  They close at midnight EST.  Am I  misunderstanding what 24/7 means? 

 

Any help, suggestions, numbers for a real 24/7 support line, or just a big old mallet would be very much appreciated.

Dear all, Everytime I connect the computer to its charger a message that says "problema al iniciar disciplesbur.dll" appears. 

I got this computer almost 2 months ago and it's not as fast as they said it would be and sometimes the screen stays in black when being turned on. I don't know if the problem I'm describing has anything to do with the computer's slow performance. Thank you very much for your time.

Hey Guys,

 

I have a cat who sometimes likes to walk on my laptop when I am doing work.  Well, he stepped on some buttons and now my multitouch doesn't work completely.  The only thing that doesn't work is the two finger scroll.  I tried resetting the touchpad to default and restarting my laptop, but it still isn't working.  I would like to fix it.  Please help.  Thanks!

Sir,

I am trying to dual boot windows 10 with some linux platform but i am not able to do it i tried installing it from a bootable pendrive and also CD BOOT . But the installation get stuck at a particular point there is no problem with the pendrive since i have used the same on my PC and it worked.

I performed system recovery a few days ago and since then the CPU is constantly at 99% even when I'm not doing anything on the computer ( in the task manager - Service Host: local systems is always at over 60%). How can I solve this?

Having owned this fantastic HP Envy Windows 10 notebook for a couple of weeks I am really impressed with Windows 10 ... 

 

Just noticed that Windows 10 "AU" 1607 is ready to install... .Should I be worried now  

 

I know forums only show bad experiences but I really do hope all goes well... Couple questions.. 

 

If it say's "waiting to install" does that mean it has already downloaded to my notebook?

 

It will do this when I am not using it, so I presume when it is in the "Windows 10 "OFF" state" overnight does that mean it will install it then, and I will wake up to the "configuring update" screen? 

 

Must say Windows updates have never worried me, but for some reason this does Lol .. 

 

I have noticed a lot of issues with Windows 10 seem to be notebooks that have been upgraded from a past Windows version rather than "out of the box" notebooks, does that seem correct?

 

 

 

Oh well here goes  

 

See what tomorrow morning brings ... I suppose doing the install when it is in the "off" state may be better than clicking install now whilst everything is on and running? does that sound right?

 

Well it did not install anything in the 12 hours it was off overnight... When does Windows 10 decide to install the updates when not in use? I had hoped that it would have done it last night but both updates still show as waiting to install... 

 

I am tooooooooo scared to press "install now" Lol ...

 

I know I did have one of the other updates showing and that did install overnight when I was not using it.. 

 

I always use "shut down" so the notebook in the fast boot state of shut down

Hi

 

I've just bought a HP 250 G5 laptop that has come with Win 7 Pro but it has been downgraded from Win 10 Pro. In the package it says I am "Eligible to receive one copy of Windows 10 recovery media and HP driver media" and then states that I will need to register my product online to receive them. This is what I have done but I see no option to request my Win10 recovery. 

 

I would like to go back to Windows 10.

 

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

I tried to update graphic drivers and while instalation complete it showed this error http://imgur.com/a/mmyYl

If i click to view log it just open Internet Explorer without any link. But after this installation i have so big fps drop for all games. what can i do?

Hello,

 

I buy my laptop from Qatar,,,and ,when i was buy that..its already install  W8.1,,

 

After its update to W10,,

 

now i need to format my laptop and install W7,,

i select boot menu and restart..but its not working..CD is working well..but not formatting my laptop........

i tried to upgrade the bios since then windows won't load i get only a blackscreen .

i failed to make a bootable usb i get this message : Bios did not support insydeflash

Any Help ??

I purchased HP Pavilion 17-f233cl did not come with a hidden HP Recovery Partition. Powering on while holding F11 does noting, my pc goes in to Windows. When following the instructions on going to the Administrator's disk management and view the partitions there's no hp recovery partition, my question is why's there no recovery partition and can I recreate the recovery partition. My pc was purchase as a HP remanufactured machine. And the original purchase was with Windows 8 64 bit, but the box was delivered with a Windows 10 sticker, when I look at the bottom of the pc it has a Windows 8 activation number, I am confused as to the two items. Thanks for any input.

I need help desparately as I may have been scammed. I lost everything on my HP laptop including HIGHLY CRITICAL medical information as I just had a kidney transplant June 2nd as well as everything around my family and entire life. Was directed to call [edited: not HP Support number] to get help. Ended up of course in India with an "HP" tech support group that presents themselves as a HP tech rsource. Been tossed around for 12 DAYS with no results. I cannot and will not give up. Please ANY SUGGESTIONS on how I can recover lost data. Would deeply appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. Becoming a medical issue now in addtion to an emotional one.

I have gotten 5 phone calls from someone saying there from HP Support and that someone has logged in from my IP address with various lap tops and cell phones.. and was that me.. i said no and they hamg up      the phone no is 1-877 -521-2139     i tryed phoning that number with no sucesss.  and there is no help number to call HP>

I bought few days ago  in UK, London, a laptop/notebook  HP Navy and  just after set up started facing problems , blue screen , frozen screen and finmaly lost complete  system.

 

I am only able to access boot by using control+F1 ou control+F2 but not being able to access system recovery partition of HDD.

 

As I am in abroad in a business travelin how to dowload a complete system recovery?
