speed gains running security scan using readyboost
recent hype about windows 10 optimized ready boost gains
caused me to investigate for myself.
i use norton security suite and typically wait for more than
3 hours for a full antivirus scan.
however, using the quickscan i have run about 5 minutes without ready
boost.
i started with 32 gb zip drive and ran quickscan: it bogged down.
i ran 24 gb: 4:17minutes
4 gb: 2:07 minutes
'2 gb: 1:50 minutes
1 gb: 1:47 minutes
thus with my readyboost optimized the full scan now takes 0:57:40 minutes.

I need all the apps for the HP Omen
Can I have all the apps for my laptop (HP Omen) please. I restarted my laptop meaning I deleted my apps and I tried to install all my apps but I unfortunately couldnt find the Apps that I got when I started using my laptop for example i couldnt find the HP Omen Control App and one more for the NVIDIA and I think something else: that app has like all the apps i had at the start. Please respond as fast as possible. Thx.

Formatted recovery partition
When trying to install a new OS, I formatted the C drive which contained the recovery partition. The new OS failed and now I'm stuck and not able to factory reset my pc to its original state. I do not have a recovery disk.

My HP Pavilion Notebook 10 will not boot
When I turn on my HP Pavilion 10 Notebook PC it goes to a blue screen that says Recovery at the top. The basics of the messages are PC could not start correctly, required device is not connected, error code 0xc0000185, needs recovery tools on installation media. I do not have installation media nor do I know how to get one. Could someone please help me with this.

HDD crashed - No windows 7 recovery possibility
Dear,
A few weeks ago my the Hard Drive Disk crashed, it was not possible to repair the HDD, so I ordered a new HDD.
I thought I was able to download and install Windows 7 on the new HDD with the product on the back of my laptop, however when I try to download it from the Microsoft website I receive a message saying there is a problem with the validation request. Upon further research this is only able for retail versions, not pre-installed versions.
So how do I now get Windows 7 on my laptop?
Product: HP Notebook 4530S
Serial: CNU1263BN9
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (x64)

BIOS Update failing to install via HP Support Assistant
This Bios update goes through the motions of installing but the HPSA still shows the update outstanding after it is installed. The latest Bios version my laptop is F.17 2016.03.09.
Any idea how to fix this?

How do I get back windows 8.1 with bing
My HP Stream 11 crashed, it used windows 8.1 with bing so I as looking all over the web to find it but I couldnt so I had to use the normal windows 8.1 iso that was available on Microsoft which didnt work with my product key that I had because it only works with windos 8.1 with bing so im stuck with using a generic key for the normal version of windows (key that alows you to boot windows but not all settings are available) and I want to upgrade to windows 10 but the only way I can upgrade is if I activate windows which my product key does not work with the normal version of windows 8.1 and only with the version with bing which from what I hear is only available to manufacturers PLEASE HELP.

Help install drivers after DBAN wipe.
A software called DBAN erased all the files from this computer.
Now when I start the computer I get the "no Operating system found.
So I go to install windows vista. Here I enter my product key, and accept the agreement.

DV6T A1U60AV BDOS WINDOWS 10 UPGRAD
I get a BSOD error when installing Windows 10 upgrade of Bad Pool Header. Upgrade would stop at 75%. I disabled wireless network adapter to complete the Windows 10 upgrade. However, the wireless adapter would not turn on. When I plugged in network cable system would BSOD crash with same bad pool header error.
i restored to Windows 7 home prem 64 bit sp1.
I have no idea how to fix this or how to get memory dump information to help resolve.

RECOVERY DISC ERROR
Laptop wouldnt load windows so I used the HP Recovery Discs which came with the laptop.
After all discs were loaded I received a screen with the erroe message the recovery has failed.
In the log provided...these 5 errors came up...
1) Yello-bang at device manager
2) Silent-install failure
3) failed at PININST_BBV
4) failed at PININST_BBV2
5) failed Memory dump file.
It also stated to check
1)REGDEV_BB.log for drivers
2) BBApps.log for applications
3) MemDump_BBV log
I have no idea how to proceed to get the laptop working.

High CPU Disk usage and overheating
A few weeks ago my computer started shutting down every few minutes due to high CPU disk usage. I troubleshot and it seemed to be an issue with Windows 10 or Chrome. I uninstalled a bunch of items and changed settings and the problem seems to have gone away now. Now, however, my computer is getting really hot and the fan doesn't stop. I don't think it's because of dust.
Any suggestions? Also I'd appreciate help backing everything up and restoring factory settings and possibly an older version of word if that's recommended.
