Blue screen with error message "Selected boot image did not authenticate. Press to continue.
I turned my computer off and when I turned it back on it said "checking media" followed by a blue error message that says something about a boot image. I tried to do the F10 but i just get a error beeping noise. How do I get this fixed?!

4540s Notebook windows boot manager problem
Hi,
last time I tried to start up, my NB 4540s results a start screen with:
Windows Boot Manager problem 0xc000000e
It says to use the recovery disk, and this is what I did, but each time I try to restart the screen is the same.
I tried with ESC, F8, F11, and so on, but nothing solved.
I tried to keep pressed ON button withouth battery to descharge laptop, but all is the same.
I have seen the recovery disk with windows 8, but this NB has windows 7. Maybe this could be a problem when recovering ?
Anyway the disk runs, but nothing different each start, the same windows boot manager windows appears.
I can reinstall the system from scratch withouth problems, but how can install from cd ?

hello good morning!
my uncle gave me this laptop HP PAVILION DV6000 ENTERTAINMENT PC with part number GA127UA#ABL.
he deleted all files before he handed it to me including recovery drive.
So, I install new windows 8 pro 64bit but, my 3 USB port and camera are not working.
I've been crazy for 3weeks for searching/reading regarding this errors. I tried almost everything.. no luck.
i've tried update to win 8.1 and win10 but same error.

there's a lot of way to fix it ... i almost everything but as i said no luck.
i tried to update the BIOS and CHIPSET i can't find any.

Pavilion x2 Detachable issues
Hi this is my first post.
Had this 2 in one for about a week, replacing a 4 year old acer aspire one netbook D270 which had upgraded SSD and over 8 hr battery life. I dropped it and cracked the screen but it was a great little device I used all the time.
There is a lot to like with this unit, but a few things are a little fustrating.
1) Lost thunderbird and opera from taskbar for no apparent reason. I pin something I expect it to stay.
2) I keep on deleting the HP help from taskbar as it keeps on showing a massive ? on the task bar but no new info, but afrer reboot its back showing help but nothing new. I dont want it.
3) Inconsistent when I undock screen, I loose all input on the touch screen? Dock it back all is fine. This cant be right.
4) Open some webpages no touch screen?.
5) I Keep on loosing SD card, even during playing music, suddenly stops and no SD. Pop it out and it makes unmounts noise, pop it back in all is fine for a short time like 2 songs then stops again saying file can not be found. Replaced the SD card and same issues.
Are these known issues or something with my device.

vertical lines on screen in right
Hello Community,
I'm facing the vertical lines issue on right side of my screen. When I minimized all the open windows than it go out within 2-3 seconds. I'm facing this issue from last few days. And else thing sometime these lines comes 3-4 times in a day and sometimes they don't even appear for a week. Need urgent assistant about solving this issue.

Dowgrade to windows 8 but no cd key
Hello
My dad brought his laptop some time ago now and it came pre-installed with Windows 8. Some time later Windows 10 came out and we decided to upgrade... for the better...
We've had a lot of problems since then but never had time to get around it and downgrade. Now that I decided to do that I found out that there is no Windows KEY on the bottom of the laptop and i'm almost certain that I need it to downgrade from 10 to 8/8.1
Is there a way to find the key so or is there a way to install the old OS without the key?
Any help is appriciated!

How to update BIOS if computer does not start
I have recently upgraded my HP Pavilion to Win 10. Now the computer does not start anymore. According to Microsoft I should update the BIOS. I have already located the correct BIOS update from HP web site, but I do not know how to update it as the computer does not start (I am able to open the setup, but windows does not start). SMART Hard Disk error and Preparing auto repair just turns to black screen
I bought a laptop not too long ago but im not sure what product name it is, For some reason i turned on the laptop and it took me to this screen that said HARD disk error and you had to press enter to go past it, and then now whenever i want to restore by going to this menu by f11 it wont let me.
It also does the preparing automatic repair after i go past the hard disk error.
Please help me because its really bothering me and no i dont mind losing all my files if i restore my product. Thank you

System Recovery Frozen at Restoring Files to Hard Drive
My system HP Envy Touchsmart 4-1215dx was stuck in a repair loop. So I just purchased from HP the USB WIndows recovery kit for my laptop. When doing the recovery to factory image. The recovery stalls at 0% on the third step of restoring files to the hard drive and has been at the point overnight. I have disabled the secureboot in the bios and same results. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Recovery USB enough?

I have a HP ProBook 430 G3 with Windows 7. I am thinking of installing Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, and wiping the drive completely in the process, including the recovery partition. If I for some reason later on want to "factory reset" the laptop/re-install Windows 7, will a USB with recovery media be enough to insert and boot from?
My thoughts are to use "Create recovery media" in "HP Recovery Manager" to create said USB. Is this sufficient enough to get the laptop back to factory state?

My notebook is just over a year old. Had a problem on starting up when a note from Microsoft to accept an agreement. Apparebtly Windows 10 was downloaded but not by me. I finally got into the system and all seemed fine until I tried to start up the next day. Couldnt get into windows, Ran Diagnostic and Hard Drive Dst failed. Tried to restore to earlier restore point to get Windows 81 again and it said no restore points existed. What the heck....I did not want Windows 10 on my computer and now its made my hard drive fail. What can I do. I had made a back up fix it that someone stole. So now what should I do. Do hard drives just fail after the warranty is just up.
