I have tested the USB in another computer. It works fine there. Seems to be some problem with the laptop.

 

I used Universal USB Installer to write Ubuntu 14.04.1 in my USB.

 

I am using latest BIOS driver.

 

I have changed BIOS settings appropriately (screenshot attached).

 

I have tried both NTFS and FAT32 file systems. In FAT32, the USB is not at all shown. While in NTFS, when I select the boot device, it starts Windows 8.1 again.

 

I have also seen the solution for UEFI based laptops. It did not work for me.

 

Legacy Support is enabled.

 

Secure Boot is disabled.

 

 

 

 

Please help somebody.

I Recently purchased the laptop about 3 Weeks ago, and I began to notice the Synaptic HP Control Zone mouse would behave erraticly after some time. A reset of the device driver seems to fix it but the problem returns again when some time passes.

 

Everything seems to be upto date and the Control zone works with multitouch and normal use but this unsual and erratic behaviour that occurs quite often has become quite irritating. I've resorted to disabling the Control Zone and I am currently using an external wireless mice I purchased with the laptop.

 

Driver:
HP Control Zone - V18.1.7.8

 

Any help would be greatly Appreciated

i just bought this laptop already haveing fricken problems with it because i know im being hacked so fricken annnoying i had a windows premium 7 home computer desktop nd my ex boyfriend to my register key product number nd my group policy it doesnt reconixze mt modem which is from clearwire cant even use mt computer lost its os system so i bought this laptop nd still having problems dont understand why saying doesnt reconize my email mcgree or something doesnt reconize my laptop please help me i would love to get my rights back also my phone being haCKED THATS WHY I NEED A PHONE CALL ALWAYS

Hi.

When I try to shut fown my HP Pavilion m6-1009tx Entertainment Notebook PC, I get a message saying that programs running in the background are preventing this. I do not know what these programs are or how to locate them. Can anyone help please.

HP Protect Tools when I delete a user from Control Panel, it still displays from the Single Signon login at boot from HP protect tools.

However if I remember to delete the user from HP Protect Tools first it does not.  How do I resolve issue with Username still showing up at signon for a deleted user.  I've tried re-adding user to windows using same login but it just added another entry in the HP protect Tools sign on drop down.

I Cannot for the life of me get windows 10 technical preview installed! please help, every time i try to update i get failed or says something abou tunlock disk? i dont have any drive locks on or auto lock tha ti know of, what do i do to get this to work? please help me i have an elitebook folio 9480m. trying through windows update from microsoft themselves, i dont have a usb disc drive or flash drive that will work for clean os but i can update straight from microsoft it just keeps failing.

I used my Video Camera to Skype about 2 days ago. And now I cannot Skype, or use my You Cam. It says things like "Camera not detected." I've updated Skype, and You Cam, and everything else. The white light turns on when I try to use my video camera as well.

Every night at 7:00 pm my "Party Poker" game download shuts down. This does not happen to anyone else I know. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and have restarted the laptop a month back when I did not have this problem. Nothing helped. I have scanned, de-bugged and run virus and all other security repairs. Pleas help.

Hi,

 

I have an HP Envy 15-3040nr that is currently running on Windows 7 x64. I was wondering if this computer would be receiving future driver support for Windows 10 when it releases, and whether or not it supports the Technical Preview that is currently avilable to developers under Microsoft's prerelease program. I currently do not have UEFI enabled (which I know is available for my notebook).

 

This questions arises from the fact that I have read on this forum that multiple owners of the Envy 15 were not able to get drivers working on Windows 8.1, for which HP hasn't formally released drivers for. Will HP make me use Windows 8 drivers on Windows 10?

Hello,

My problem is quite simple actually but I just couldn't get it resolved.

After downloading MegaDownloader, the icon of the folder was altered ın such manner to show to the content inside of, as denoted by Arrow 1 in screenshot figure above. Even after uninstalling the regarded software, the folder icon remaines the same. How can I revert it back to the original icon, denoted by Arrow 2?

 

If I empty the whole folder and resart PC, it is reverted but filling the folder again makes the icon show its contents again.

I have an HP Pavilion g6 that has a password set. As soon as you power up it wants a password. I saw other posts where you provided a code to bypass the password. My system code is 55268991.

Can someone help with my system?
