    I have Hp envy touchsmart i7 with geoforce dedicated graphic card laptop, i was using it for a good few years and today all of a sudden it just went off, no light, no bipping, no fan noise nothing happening. I took the battery out and did hard resetting but it dint help at all. Could you please advice what should i do ???

    My HP Pavilion crashed, so I had to use my startup usb. In the middle of the restoration, it brought up two screens, 1st screen says “The restoration did not complete. Please select one of the following buttons: Save Log, Details and Retry.” The 2nd screen the title displays “Select C:\windows\system32\cmd.exeI” and the body says repeatedly, “The system cannot find the drive specified.”

    I select the Save Log and then select Retry. It still says the restoration Incomplete.

    PC is Joined to Domain. Hello for Business is configured by GPO. PIN and Face Lock was configured on machine and suddently stoped working. When trying to login Using PIN - We get an error message "" Windows Hello is currently disabled by your administrator.

    I am locked out of my HP desktop.  It keeps saying my password is incorrect. I am the admin and only user on the computer. How can I get past this or reset my password without resetting the whole computer and losing my data?

    Upon startup the computer says that I am using 100% disk space.  The disk has over 80% empty.  I have check scandisk and really ever other avenue.  I spoke with a best buy geeek and he says that the hard drive could be bad?  The laptop is not but a year and a few months old.  I have not used the touch screen because I don't like it.  I did the checkdisk also and nothing.  I followed every example I could on the question.  Any help would be appreciated.

    When i went to boot up my laptop today, I got this error: selected boot image did not authenticate. Press enter to continue. Obviously pressing enter shuts it off. 

    Trying to open recovery mode with F11 just led to the same screen with constant beeping and no input response. I cannot open safemode either. 

    Is this laptop toast?

  • My HP Pavillion is almost a year old now & I use it for some facebook games, shopping, pictures of my family & friends & your basic computer use.  Every once in a while my fan sounds kind of funny upon startup but then goes away & hasn't done it again.  From past experience of not having my pc backed up & having a laptop that was ruined by a coca cola being spilled in it & then another one that just went out & I have lost all my pictures & music & files that were important to me I am looking to see what would be the best solution for a complete system backup. Some people have said the Cloud, others a thumb drive & this model doesn't have a cd player or reader so I just wanted to know the most inexpensive & as good of a solution as possible without spending too much. I would appreciate any input that you could help me with to protect my files.

    I have a older HP windows 10 desktop computer which so far has been working perfectly but all the recovery files are still inside of it. My brother bought a brand new HP win10, he only had it 4 days and a blizzard went through and we lost power several times while he was on line and it FRIED windows 10 on his system and now costing him $130 to have it restored.
    I still have my recovery files in mine and I need to get them out before that fate happens to me. I bought a 32gig flash drive and logged on under safe mode to grabe all the HP recovery files that's  still inside my comuter for windows 10 recovery media. But when I went to go grab them it's telling me my 32gigs is not big enough. What size of flash drive do i need to grab "ALL" the recovery files for my HP 550-153W?

    PS....I had the 32gig already plugged in when I logged in under safe mode. Should I waited and logged in first then  plugged it in? or do I simply need a bigger flash drive? I remember the screen that showed what types media i needed and im almost certain it said 16gigs or 4 dvd's or 2 of something else. well I got 32 gig's. why didnt HP support assistant see it? And yes my flash drive has been formatted to NTFS so it's ready to go.

    My notebook will not Power on at all. When it is plugged in the led light is constant orange with the battery in and when the battery is out and plugged in the led is white. The notebook got soda spilled on it some time ago. I have cleaned it all out and still no luck.
