My laptop is HP ENVY 17 J102TX SE WITH LEAP MOTION
This laptop has 2 dedicated HDD bays
I am thinking of adding an SDD (waiting for the sata connector/cable) in the second bay (the laptop came wiyth an hdd in bay 1) for faster boot up etc
Can this laptop be set in the bios to boot from bay 2 the newly install;ed SDD (2nd hdd) or have i to switch the disks so that the sdd is in bay 1 only ?

I bought a new laptop HP '14q-cs0009TU' from flipkart. It does not have any OS and I was installing windows 10 64 bit.
During installation, i am getting the below error.
"No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK"
I have tried doing the installations from all available USB ports and none of them worked.
Request your urgent help.
Hi, I’ve read a few forums on the black screen with automatic repairs and please wait but most of them have issues when they did the test. Mine passed all the tests (I did the quick and long tests with passes on both). I tried to do the F11 shortcut to do a system recovery but it just puts me at the please wait HP black screen for who knows how long. Is there a way to do a factory reboot another way? All my files are on onedrive so I can access them anywhere

So I've had my HP for about 4 years and I've been happy with it until for a couple of months ago.
The fan is going on and of and I don't see a pattern. It's annoying for me and also the other students at the university when the fan is going crazy.
- There's no available BIOS update.
- The BIOS setting ''Fan is always..'' is off
- I've been trough power settings
- It's not getting to hot
- I've cleaned it

My laptop was doing an update when I must of shut it down quick and now it’s stuck in a loop on the start up screen, it shows the HP logo, then it says it’s trying to restore windows then flashes back to the HP logo and repeats itself. It was windows 8 so I’m guessing it’s the windows 10 update. Is there a way to sort this? I’m worried about losing all my photos.
After some confusing messages when I opened the lid (after working on it a mere 30 minutes prior), it is now in The Recovery Manager. From what I read, a system recovery will wipe out all my files. It doesn't seem I can do a file back up at this time from this screen. Is there another way to save my files?

i just bought this hp note book 15-da0088nr, its not even two weeks old. the cortana search box was not working correctly and had microsoft fix it, process works good now.
but now when laptop goes to sleep from non use it beeps once. then when i wake it up with moving the mouse it beeps again (once).
how can a new laptop be doing this straight out the box?
i purchased this through the army px while stationed in korea and dealing with the states time diffrence and not being able to call back is difficult..

Hello, when I turn on my laptop it just shows a black screen, hp logo and 5 circles in the middle constantly "loading" but never loads,I'm guessing my recovery partition is messed up because any option I choose just freezes the laptop. I also did a Hard Drive optimized DST Check and I get a warning.Any fixes?
