How to recover ProBook after it started "screaming" when restarted?
G'day,
After restarting my ProBook yesterday, as soon as the background graphic for the logon screen appears, the computer starts "screaming" and does not stop. The only way to use the computer is to have some dummy ear buds connected. I have started it in Safe Mode, and no screaming. It appears to have something to do with the logon process.
I have scanned it for malware and viruses using AVG Internet Security, plus using ClamWin, and both say the computer is clean and free of any viruses or malware.
I have had to contemplate doing a System Recovery (which I dread) as it means reinstalling a whole lot of software including AutoCAD, Bluebeam, QuickBooks Pro, etc. Some of these require elaborate procedures to hand back licences before the recovery and then going through the process of reauthentication the new install. Others mean you have to answer a whle not of questions as to why this has happened, and why you are not installing the latest version. Explaining all the customisation that would need to be changed and then a fresh update in a few weeks (end of April).
So, first, is there any way to trace what is causing this and a guess as to whether a System Recovery will address it?
There was only one restore point but it did not change anything.

Screen randomly goes black
Periodically my laptop screen goes black with no warning. When I hit the power button the screen turns back on to the login page. What is causing this and how do I prevent it from happening. I am afraid that at some point it will not turn back on. I only use the laptop while plugged in, so I don't think it is a battery issue.

Driveguard error after windows 10 Update
" HPaccelerometer doesn't work on this version of Windows. An updated app may be available."
Installed 5 hours worth of windows 10 updates when connected laptop to ethernet modem.
Installed all latest windows updates on March 20 2018.
yeah had it turned off using metered connection with wifi.
Now getting the above error.
Needing latest fix / driver / repair solution please

Getting error 3FO on HP Pavilion x360 m1 convertible, SMART check says "Software Error"
When the laptop is started up, I get a error message saying "Boot Device Not Found" and followed by "Please Install an operating system on your hard disk." Followed by the error code 3FO. I did a Memory test, and it passed. However, when I did a Hard Drive Check, it gave me a "Smart Check: Software Error". The BIOS setting is already enabled to Legacy Support. I would like to not have to do a Reset and lose data. Any help?

SSD Freeze and Coll Sense not working after reinstall
Hello,
A week ago I bought the HP Omen 15-ce008nw laptop. I also bought a Plextor 256GB M8PeGN M.2 PCIe drive. I created a copy of the HP system using the HP Support Assistant on a pendrive, but on the new SSD I decided to install the freshly downloaded Microsoft system without all the games and other unwanted programs with which I received my laptop. Then I installed Windows Home on my new SSD. Already after the installation I had a problem with the performance of the new SSD drive because the programs from the start menu and file explorer opened after 5-6 seconds. When you right-click or touchpad on the desktop, the system also stops for about one second. This can be checked by quickly clicking the right button on the desktop in different places and we feel as if the system is still hanging. I noticed these things at the beginning so I decided to download all the drivers from the HP manufacturer's website one by one and install them in the system. I also downloaded all kinds of programs recommended by HP like Cool Sense or Support Assistant. Unfortunately, the problem with the disk did not improve. I also do not have HP Cool Sense because the installer claims it is not for my laptop. He did, however, work on the original disk.
In addition, I downloaded the popular Driver Easy program to scan the system for the presence of current drivers. Despite installing the latest drivers dedicated to my laptop, this program claims that I have 20 outdated drivers. I have verified on the websites of the manufacturers a few of them and it turns out that the HP Support drivers are not completely up-to-date. Some of them I have even a year ago ... Please tell me if you still update the list of drivers to these laptop models.
To help solve the problem, I came up with an idea and plugged the old drive back into the laptop. Then I created a pendrive for system recovery using HP Support Assistant. I connected the SSD again and started the system recovery from pendrive. It brought me back the system, unfortunately also with all the trash and free programs ... but the problem has disappeared. Work in the system has become instant and fast (problem solver). So I pushed all the programs that I did not need and used 2 days from the system in this way. Then I got 14 different kinds of updates in my HP Support Assistant so I launched the first update (something was written about some windows firmware). After running the system reboot, the problem with the mouse jamming or the SSD drive has returned again. The whole update lasted 30 minutes and in addition after the restart, the remaining (13) updates that HP Support Assistance offered did not know whether during these 30 minutes they installed all or something is very messy 
Throughout the description of the situation in this paragraph, HP Cool Sense could not be installed. So I thought I would use HP Support Assistance and restore the system to the moment it was backed up. The system left me a log which removed, but the problem with the mouse is still there.
So according to the system, such applications have been removed during the system restore:

Easy Driver claims that there is a newer version of the driver available on the Intel manufacturer's website, i.e.

I'm not an IT specialist and I do not know where to look for all the drivers, maybe I'm missing something, and I'm afraid to install myself through such programs. So why are there no current drivers for my equipment on the HP Support website?
What I should do now? Has anyone had such a problem?

Factory Reset

Blue Screens
I have started to get multiple blue screens lately (within the last 5 weeks) with multiple error messages like System Service Exception, Page Fault in Nonpaged Area, IRQL Not Less or Equal, and Memory Management. My Spectre x360 gets all upgrades regularly.

List of recently installed programs by date - bogus app installed today
This is a windows question if anyone can help. I have once again a windows 10 virus that gives the red screen and a repeating verbal message to stop, do not turn off your computer etc. You are at risk.
One of the keys to finding and removing it last time was displaying any software installed on my PC today. It was listed by date and there it was under a bogus name at the top. Nothing else had been installed in a long time.
After googling and viewing lots of sites nobody can tell me how to produce this list. It did not require any special software or run command at the time. Maybe it is no longer available in WIN 10. My WIN 10 is current.
Can anyone help? I have an HP Pavilion g6 but as I recall the virus was linked to EDGE. It came up whenever I started EDGE. This time it seems to have gone away but I would really like to know how to produce that list again for the future. The START menu does not list new apps anymore, just most used.

Windows10 not updating to latest version
Hi Guys. Please help or advise.
My laptop will not undate to the latest version of Windows10. When trying to download it keeps going back to previous settings. Spoke with 3 microsoft agents and after 5 hours in front of my PC, they said that my BIOS was not compatible. Not sure what this means but they highlighted a section that said BIOS system _ Legacy. They suggested that I need to have the BIOS updated by HP.
To be very honest, I have not a clue or idea how any of the systems operate within my PC. I usually just turn it on, allow any updates suggested and click YES to any request.
Does the explanation given by Microsoft agents make sense to anybody or are the just bluffing me. If correct how I can go about fixing it. My windows 10 verion in 1703. It should be 1709. Hence I have missed 6 updates and can no longer download updated security as these can only be supported by latest version.

Cannot Boot into Windows - File:\windows\system32\winload.efi with Error Code 0xc0000225.
Hello,
My daughter's notebook will not load the operating system. When it starts, it enters "Preparing Automatic Repair" and then moves to the blue screen Recovery. It states File:\windows\system32\winload.efi with Error Code 0xc0000225. The computer is loaded with Windows 8 but I cannot remember if we upgraded to 10.
I cannot enter startup using F8. When I hit "esc" for UEFI firmware settings, it will load to the Startup menu, but the only option that will work is F1 System Information. These other options do not do anything at all: F2 System Diagnostics, F9 Boot Device Options, F10 BIOS Setu and F11 System Recovery.
I have tried loading into BIOS to no avail. I have also tried recovering the BIOS (Win Key+B) but also doesnt work after the recovery process.
Last thing I tried was connecting a new hard drive, but then I received the Boot Disk error since the computer won't recognize the USB or DVD drive.
If there are any other options I need to try, please let me know.

Laptop Freezes ALL the time
Hi! I bought an HP Pavilion 15.6'' Windows 10 6th Generation Intel Core i3 6gb memory 1TB. I am aware that my guarantee has expired for the product but I have been having so much trouble with it because it freezes all the time for hours and I don't know how to fix it. I don't know if you have any deals with like giving back this laptop and then buying another with a discount or if it is worth fixing or should I just sale it? I would really appreciate some advice. My computer just showed fatl error C000022 applying update operation 06766 of 132021
I tried all the remedies in this site, everything passed but some how everytime i turn it on it goes back to the same message automatic updates then fatal error C0000022. I have important documents in it and cant afford to lose it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
