I recieved the computer like this so I don't know what could have caused it. So far the most success I have had is copying the 363FF15.fd file from the sp48895 onto a usb drive and renaming it 363F.BIN. I put the stick in, plug in the ac adapter (no battery), hold Win + B and power on. The USB stick starts to flash and I let go of the keys. It will beep 4 times... long pause... 4 times.... long pause... 1 beep... long... beep.. long... and then nothing. The screen remains blank the entire time.

 

So thats the best results so far. Ive tried other filenames like F.bin or leaving it as 363FF15.fd and all those attempts end up in it beeping once and the computer restarting.

 

Any ideas?

I need to know how to stream a video from my android device to my Hp Go X360, we have tried IAN and Bluetooth ...what am I doing wrong...i site its a simple fix..

H everyone, I have a problem with Factory Image Recovery. Initially, my laptop had a Windows 8.1 OS, later I upgraded it to Windows 10. After a while, my laptop experienced a boot problem and couldn't start at all. Ordered HP Recovery media and tried to recover the system. During the process, the screen freezes at the stage "Restoring files to the Hard Drive".
Would everyone, suggest how to overcome this problem?

So here's the problem.. I installed windows 10 by changing GPT TO MBR in other to install it. Seems it deleted the hp firmware on the hard disk. However, videos weren't playing it was mostly lagging well so I wanted to factory reset. Realized the recovery partition had been deleted due to the gpt change. I found a software and some how used it to recover it on my laptop. The problem is even tho I've recovered it, I'm still not able to boot into recovery(f11). I want to do a factory reset to take it back to the state it was
Ps- I can't order for the USB from hp. I'm in Africa

I'm trying to install Windows 7 x64 on my HP chromebook 14 (currently on Windows 8 x64 & got nVidia driver memory leaks, that's why I'm downgrading) but once I enter te UEFI and select my USB device to boot I get a black screen with a white blinking text indicator. And nothing happens it just stays that way until I reboot or unput the USB device.

Thought it could be a USB 3.0 problem but USB 2.0 ports dont work either. I have done manny OS intalls before never had a problem like this...

I want to Enable Intel Virtualization Technology (vt-x) on my HP Pavilion dv6-7043cl Notebook. But I'm unable to find the option in my BIOS. It only shows option for enabling/disabling Virtulization Technology but not VT-X. My processor is capable for Virtualization Technology (also checked with Intel processor identification utility) but I'm unable to find the option to enable vt-x on my Notebook. I also update the BIOS version to F.2E. Can you please help?

I am trying to reboot my laptop system to empty it completely (I am giving away my laptop and would like all settings/documents etc to be gone).

 

I tried the following: after pressing the power button + ESC button (F11 does not do much) a startup menu appears. It says the following:

 

F1 System

F2 System Diagnostics

F9 Boot Device Options

F10 BIOS setup

F11 System Recovery

 

I tried F11 but the laptop starts up as normally. Then I tried F9 and chose Notebook Hard Drive in the Boot Option Menu, and again it started up as normally.

 

Is there anyone who can help me with this please?

OK , am running Kaspersky anti virus , it has a feature called safe money ,when I go to a site to order anything on line I get a notice the site is not secure ! Called Kaspersky the tech walked me thru a quck check on my system ,it was determinded the virtulizion on my system was disabled, HOW do you enable it . He told me I would have to get this info from HP. So far that isn't working to well . It is a Pavilion p6617c desktop model . product # BT427AA, START DATE FOR SYSTEM IS dec2010.

Hallo,

 

Na het kopen van mijn nieuwe laptop, moest ik voor de 1ste keer hem installeren met de hulp van HP Support Assistant. De installatie verliep zeer vlot en na de installatie opende zich een scherm: " uw laptop is gereed" en de knop om op gereed te drukken. Dit heb ik dan ook gedaan, nu blijkt zich dat dit scherm zich blijft openen elke 10 minuten. Dit is zeer vervelend omdat als ik iets bekijk of aan het werken ben dit scherm weer steeds opent en ik elke keer op gereed moet drukken. Ik heb reeds al raad gevraagd om dit op te lossen en opgezocht op internet maar heb niet direct een oplossing gevonden.

 

Iemand enig idee hoe ik dit kan oplossen.

Hiya all,

 

I have a problem. I am trying to install linux on my old computer. Unfortunately my computer doesnt have a CD/DVDRom so the only way that i am able to install a new OS is using a USB. I used PowerISO and verything goes fine. Everything works until i plug it into my old computer and try and boot from it. I have turned off Secure boot and tried using Legacy booot but that doesnt seem to fix the issue. I really need a computer with Linux so that i can do my work as windows isnt quite cutting it for me.

Hello guys, i have a problem with my Hp Stream 13... cause i want to clear all data in this notebook then i choose option Reset all data and clear  in Control Panel... Yea... notebook will reset and start loading, but in 54% laptop freeze and more second later i see Screen with message  " An error occurred " reset notebook... okay. i reset this notebook and now when is loading "HP Logo Screen" is black screen for 1 second and "Hp Logo Screen" back, and that is repeat all time... Notebook can't start normal, all time is reset Logo Hp :c Guys i need help i can't turn on my notebook           Please Help me fast i need notebook to make a homework today ;/ really guys pls. i still wait for help.

Cursor keeps locking up. No response from any key or combo of keys. Have to power off and back on. Happens repeatedly. Very annoying!

On my Laptop I keep seeing tis "Driver Detective". It also says that 1 of my drivers is out and I need an update. When I click on it , it takes mt to an Web page and they want $29.95 for a subscription.

  

  Does anyone know if HP recommends this software? I don't want to down load something and then mess up my computer.
