Laptop crashed and recovery efforts have failed.

My laptop, a HP Pavillion DV7t-7000 crashed for now apparent reason.  I have tried everything, Including a hard reboot, and nothing has helped.  I am getting a blank screen (the computer tried a system bios repair but failed).  The led indicators are blinking in a two blink series now.  Can someone tell me what might be wrong and give me an idea of the cost for repair (a little, a lot, junk it and forget it?).

Today I tried to resolve my wireless issue by update new wireless driver that HP provided on the HP support website but all doesn't work (Broadcom,Intel and Realtek).

So I have tried to update BIOS by using HP system BIOS update utility that available to download on HP support website. I hope this would sort it out.

However, after passed 2 hours the screen shows Not responding on the top of HP Bios Update and Recovery menu. I tried to close program, open task manager, restart and push switch off button. All doesn't work !

Please advise

HP replacement hard disk with Windows 8 for Pavilion laptop

$

Laptop will not start, gives message: boot device not found. Ran HP PC diagnostic from flash drive. all tests seemed to pass except Hard Disk. Rusults: Extensive SMART check: NOT INSTALLED, Long DST: NOT INSTALLED. Seems to me that if I could locate a replacement HD with Windows 8 preloaded onto it, I could simply replace HD and possibly get laptop running again. Does anyone know where/how/who to contact to find out if HP or someone sells a hard disk for this laptop with Windows on it? -- And no, I do not have a restore disk or flash drive for this laptop. Sure which I'd made one :-\

How do I go about getting a replacement battery?

When I turn my computer on, the startup menu will say that the battery is low and will need to be replaced. I've been all through the HP website to find answers. I've done the diagnostics battery test several times and it always says "PASSED" and the battery will automatically jump to 100% no matter what percentage the battery was on. When I do plug the charger in it will say "plugged in but not charging". I've been to the HP Parts Store website and looked up the battery for my computer but it says that "its restricted and not available for purchase." When I plug in the charger the red light will come on and then a few hours later it will change to the white light but the computer will still be on 0%. If I do somehow get the computer to charge it dies quickly. I'm not sure what else is left to do. I've only had this computer for about a year. Any help?

Pavilion x2 detachable laptop not responding!

My pavilion is not respoinding properly.

1 month ago, the laptop/tablet locked after a hardware issue and needed a bitlocker key to open it. After some time finding it and a few problems from microsoft, the laptop was in working order as of yesterday. However, the audio was missing (I assume that's why the laptop locked itself?? I'm not a large techy person!). As I could not restore the audio, I decided to do a reset with files still intact. This got to 44% and then came up with a response along the lines of; "Cannot reset due to an issue. Please try again later." This led me back to two options; revert back and load windows 10 or to retry. I retried a few more times with the same error message and two options. I'd decided after that not working, I'd try and revert back and reload windows 10. After this, the only thing my laptop now does is load the HP symbol, move to a black screen and repeat. I've tried hard resets and attempting to diagnose the problem with F2, yet this did not help at all as all 'passed' bar the audio which could not be detected.

Any help would be great! Thanks.

Help with Recovering HP Laptop Probook 4530s Opperating System not Found after Attemped restore

I have an HP Probook 4530s that I bought several years ago.  Maxed out the ram and its ran fine forever.  I really only use it for email, watching movies, looking at Excel sheets, viso, Online bacnking, etc..  Nothing requirng a super powerful machine.

Short Story, after a failed Restore to factory settings, it says "Operating System Not found"...

Long story, My laptop, its been running slower and slower, till it would require a reboot, then run fine for a few days.

Finally, fed up with it, I decided to try and restore this...  I've done it on many other Desktops and Laptops in the past.

Normally, there is s program you click on and it will ask if everything is backed up, upon confirming, it will format, and re-install everything like the 1st time you powered it up.

This Probook 4530s did not have that...  So I fumbled around and tried creating a ""restore CD"...

I got the latop to make what I thought was a good cd and started the process, not sure where I went wrong, but somehow I must have wiped everything and now it just says ""Opperating system not found" when you try and boot it...

Right now, I'm in the bios running all the diags making sure the HD or noting else just happend to go bad, but I'm pretty positive it was me and something I did or did not do...

So, now my laptop is pretty much a paper weight, till I can figure this out...

What do I need to do?

Loading drivers saved on a CD to another laptop

$

I upgraded to Win 10 and need to go back to Win 8 legacy OS in this laptop.

The HP drivers seem to have disappeared while doing something.  I think I deleted a partition which zapped them since I was getting error message that the system disk was too small.   I downloaded all of the drivers from the HP support and have them all on a CD.  When the g-6 tries to install a clean Win 8 from a USB ISO it says it is missing drivers.  I can browse the CD and it says no drivers are found on the CD even though they are on the CD.

So there must be a way to take the driver files I downloaded and saved on the CD and convert them to the actual drivers???

They seem to be EXE files.  Do I run the EXE files on another laptop let them do their thing and in the end it will give me a driver I can copy onto another CD so the g-6 will recognize or is there another way to do this.

Thanks for any help.

Start up fails

My daughter has an HP Pavilion Notebook, the model number on the back says 14-b003sa but I don't know if this is the correct model? She uses Microsoft Windows but I don't know if this is 8 or another version.

When she starts the computer we get a message on a black screen saying "Preparing Automatic Repair". We then get a blue screen with the message "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We are just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you". Then we go back to the black screen and the cycle repeats itself.

I have tried turning off the computer and restarting whilst pressing the F11 key for system recovery, but the page does not load and I go back into the cycle of the black screen followed by the blue screen etc. I have also done a Hard Drive Systems Test by pressing the F2 key and the system passed.

If anyone has some adivce, both my daughter and I would be most thankful.

I fixed the first disk of the restore set of DVD's for this system and it runs through the whole setup. When I restart the system it starts to load up and gets into the first screen. It goes through a few things then restarts and when it comes up it says  "BOOTMGR is missing" Press Ctrl + Alt +Del to restart.   It does this with or without the 4th disk.

Factory recovery media error

I ordered the recovery media from the product support page -- http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-15-Notebook-PC-series/5186791/model/5218395

Today I got the recovery media usb in the mail. I plugged in in, booted from the usb, and began the recovery process.

Going through the factory image preparation wizard things went well until 100%. When it reached 100% I got an error saying that

-- "Windows cannot find 'D:/System.sav/Util/RStone.exe' make sure you typed the filename correctly and try again"

I'm assuming that "D:/" refers to my usb recovery media.

Anybody got anything? Not sure what to do here..
