Hello everybody,

 

yesterday I tried again to create a Windows 10 Recovery USB stick with the software "Cloud Recovery Client", which I downloaded here:

My notebook is a HP ProBook 455 G2.

 

The program always creates an USB stick with Windows 10 + Drivers without any error, but when I try to start the notebook, the BIOS doesn't seem to recognize the stick as a proper Boot Medium. I tried it already twice and always the same error. When I create a Windows 10 USB stick with the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool, everything seems to be fine so far.

Has anybody tried to create some recovery media with the HP tool, which worked so far?

What am I doing wrong so far?

I need help with my hp mini. It had a black screen with enter current password. It's been so long I didn't know I had a password. Then it says password check failed fatal error... system halted. CNU9204S3R

The computer stalled while upgrading to Windows 10.  When power is pressed, the HP logo shows for about 8-10 seconds, then the screen goes black for about 6-8 seconds, and then the cycle repeats.  Holding the power button for a few seconds is the only way to turn off the computer.

 

I chose "unknown" for the OS because I'm not certain where the computer was during the upgrade from W8 to W10. 

 

I have tried several combinations of keys such as simultaneoulsy pressing volume down/power and repeated pressing of esc or F11 immediately after powering up, but none of these have worked.

 

I would appreciate any suggestions on if/how I could recover the computer.  Thanks.

Hello all,

I have HP Envy k025-dx notebook...

i am an advance user who runs arch linux as my main OS and windows just for backup purposes.

Today i updated my bios from f19 to f20 provided on HP support site.

 

When i updated bios it ran fine and boot back into windows as expected... but when i wen to bios settings made little adjustments like enabling virtualization and disabling fn key, and rebooted i got "selected boot image did not authenticate"

 

infact went to F9 boot menu, it dint showed my efi entries as it used to show before bios update.

 

Ok now what i did to boot, disabled secureboot and enabled legacy, rebooted pressed F9 and gone through "Boot from EFI file" then navigated to my arch linux grubefi.efi file and booted into Arch linux fine..

 

Now i want to why the bios update broke my boot setup?

I recently tried to do a system restore on this laptop and when it restarted to boot it ssys "system restore incomplete". and I cannot get past that screen, What can I do from this point forward? I have tried to boot from flash drives and disks with recovery data on them but it continues to say no boot data found. I ran the system check by pressing f2 and it says that everything in the computer is fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ve tried charging my HP 250 but it is not responding. I recently removed the battery and connected its charger directly. With direct current it seems to be functioning well without any power cuts. The problem is when i connect the battery it does not charge. I have tried many new batteries and chargers but the problem still persists.

I also have a few questions

 

Is there any other drivers i should install to make sure everything is working to its full potenial? For exmaple the netbook has an hybrid HDD but im unsure how to tell if this is getting used and that the usb ports are 3.0 etc

 

Also would anyone recommend any upgrades for this netbook or am i wasting my time?

HI, I have just purchased an HP Envy x360 15-ar052sa convertible laptop from PCWorld in the UK. It has a 1TB hard drive and a 128GB SSD. I have noticed the OS, Windows 10, has been installed on the SSD, meaning whenever any other program is installed it defaults to the SSD and now it has completely filed up, with the HDD completely void of any data. The shop told us the SSD was to store data on that requires fast access.

 

Is having the OS on the SSD correct?

On startup it's taking automatic repair and ending to a black screen with only the cursor moving.i tried with the bios roll back.it didn't work .also there's a hard disk short dst failure when I tried to check the hard disk.the smart hard disk is working fine. Plz give me a solution.
